I have been tagged again…this time by J.

– By the way, GOOD LUCK — You and S are in our thoughts this week –

Meme:What’s On Your Nightstand?

Rules, rules, rules: post what you’ve got on the table (chair, nightstand, whatever) beside your bed. Leave nothing out. Nothing. Heh. Link back to the kind person who tagged you and then tag 3 other folks. Really tag them - none of this “whoever hasn’t done this meme yet” tagging.

1. On top/shelf of my bedside table:

2. Inside of my bedside table::

Funny thing is yesterday I could have answered this tag easily but today it no longer exists… well my night stand no longer exists that is.

You see yesterday I had a night stand, well actually a night chair. Our bed is really tall and so our nightstands were actually oversized wooden chairs piled high with books, calenders, lotions and lip balms from 2Note, an alarm clock, and a thermometer I haven’t touched in months. Well, when I got home yesterday the bedroom had been completely rearranged and the night stands were gone. Now we have a table at the foot of the bed that holds all of the above and the nightstandchairs are now our TV console. Needless to say there is nothing inside….as there is no inside.

So there you have it no nightstand but rather an end table, I hope that still counts.

Lets see who to tag???? I’ll stick with the same clan I know will indulge me….El-yo, Fab P, and Sky

Feel like I should post

So much is happening out there in blog land. I however feel very removed from it all.

No babymaking in the works here (though I did finally take the glucose test, so I only have one more prerequisite to knock before we could try again). In all honesty I don’t know if/when I would want to get back on the roller-coaster.

In doing my taxes, I realized it has been about a year since our first try….seems like 10. But then again we have been on break about as long as we were actively trying. This makes me both sad and relieved. See the mix here?

I read other blogs almost obsessively these days, trying to figure out next steps. As if somehow your experiences would rub off on me. What I see is so much heart ache and pain mixed with moments of joy that must just make it all worth it. However I find myself commenting less than usual. I think that comes from feeling so removed.

I’ll end today with a thanks for all your stories, they are an inspiration. If someday I return to the active land of TTC I hope my thoughts can do the same.

I have received my first tag! Nothing like peer love….

Grab the book nearest to you, open it up, and turn it to page 123. Write down the first 5 sentences on that page. Then tag 5 more people

and though I saw it at work I decided page 123 of Green Building Design (which was on how to deal with contractor and homeowner contracts) was not something I felt like sharing boring you all with so I waited until I got home….

The book nearest me is His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman. Page 123 is in the first book “the Golden Compass”. So here are the first 5 sentences…

She was very taken with this notion, and later on she folded the blankets on her bunk in a seamanlike way, and put her possessions in the closet in a seamanlike way, and used ’stow’ instead of ‘tidy’ for the process of doing this.

After two days at sea, Lyra decided that this was the life for her. She had the run of the ship, from the engine room to the bridge, and she was soon on first-name terms with the crew. Captain Rokeby let her signal to a Hollands frigate by pulling th handle of the steam whistle; the cook suffered her help in mixing plum duff; and only a stern word from John Faa prevented her from climbing the foremast to inspect the horizon from the crow’s nest.

All the time they were steaming north, and it grew colder daily. The ship’s stores were searched for oilskins that could be cut down for her, and Jerry showed her how to sew, and art she learned willingly from him, though she had scorned it at Jordan and avoided instruction from Mrs. Lonsdale.

The man is a fan of long sentences but spins a lovely tale.

I tag sky ,Fabulous P , El-Yo, Byrd , and the Beans . I don’t think any of them have been tagged yet. But if so, I guess they are just double special :)

A wonderful blogger out there decided Monday was music day or so I learned from reading Calliope. I think this is a fantastic idea, music makes every day, especially Monday, better!!!!

Now I read a lot but rarely post (on any site) and I am not one to get involved in themed days, since I am far, far, far to lazy of a blogger to keep things up but this one grasped me today.

It has been a hard Monday and so I listen to Toni. I should probably pick something happier but the first day of the work week just makes me melancholy.

So I give you Toni Collette, not only can she act, but her songs just make my heart ache…
